Job Brief

Access Engineering provides on-demand mechanical engineering and prototyping solutions including CAD, CAE and manufacturing. We are pursuing major mechanical design contracts and searching for self-motivated Mechanical Designers. These positions will be in support of senior engineers.  Work is hourly paid contract.

Primary responsibilities:
– Design subassemblies and parts based on customer requirements and senior engineer guidance.
– Prepare fabrication and assembly drawings.
– Prepare bill of materials (translated from SolidWorks to Excel).

Minimum requirements:
– 5 years solid modeling.
– Supply your own computer and software.
– Clear communications ability and collaborative team player.
– Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
– Able to support 20 hours (or more) per week.
– BSME (Associates Degree or equivalent work experience will be considered)
– U.S. Citizen

Pay: $30-$50/hour

Schedule:
Flexible. Work on your schedule to complete tasks.

Experience:
– 5 years SolidWorks (minimum).
